“No one else gets how I feel.”
“Something must be wrong with me.”
“Why am I not the person I want to be?”
"Mistakes are not shackles that halt one from stepping forward. Rather, they are that which sustain and grow one’s heart.”— Fairy Tail
Let’s do this together.
You may have had these thoughts and feelings at some point and feel like it’s a crushing tidal wave. We can learn to surf. Everyone has a unique footprint that they leave in the sand, bringing much to the table that is solely their own. We may have challenges along the way, but we don’t have to feel stuck.

Disordered Thoughts & Behavior Patterns
My Therapeutic Approach
I believe all of us are capable of growth. In my therapeutic practice, I utilize an eclectic approach that brings numerous therapeutic outlooks into one. My therapy work is very collaborative and draws on strength-based, acceptance and commitment therapy, as well as elements of cognitive behavioural therapy and geek therapy.
I integrate Geek Therapy and "The Hero’s Journey" to create a powerful framework for personal growth and healing. This approach draws from the rich, symbolic narratives found in geek cultures, such as comics, video games, fantasy literature, tabletop role-playing games, and movies, while using Joseph Campbell’s "Hero’s Journey" as a metaphor for the client's life and therapeutic process.
In this therapeutic space, we journey together. I will be at your side with compassion on your journey as we work together toward insight into what will lead you to your goals.
To see if we are a good fit, you can email, call/text me, or fill out this form to schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to meeting you.
More about me:
My name is Rachael, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) here in colorful Colorado. I have lived here for the entirety of my life, and always find ways to make the state new and exciting for myself, my partner, and my dog. I have always been a massive geek; consuming all things pop culture. If you name it, I am interested in it. When I found a way to incorporate pop culture and therapy, talking with people about their passions and relating it to their therapeutic journey, I decided this course was a done deal. In my free time, you’ll find me devouring another book, watching anything I can get my hands on, lifting weights, or having a relaxing day in the air-conditioning with my partner and dog.
